The Wafer series 6-12 is designed for tough conditions and is the market’s most compact UV system. The facilities are type approved by the Veterinary Institute and have capacities of
0 – 5,375 m3/hour.
The Wafer series has medium-pressure lamps. With medium-pressure lamps, microorganisms do not restore viability and colony-forming ability when treated with exactly the same UV dose as with low-pressure UV. This is because medium-pressure UV breaks down an enzyme called photolyase that is found in all living organisms and promotes photo editing of damaged DNA.
UV is a chemical-free method of disinfection that inactivates all known microorganisms, bacteria, pathogens and viruses, and saves the environment from the use of chemicals. The choice of dose setpoint determines which types are inactivated.
The systems are delivered with a 5-year warranty through the original service agreement.
